What WE are Doing to Keep You Safe

Transit Drivers are wearing face masks and buses are equipped with protective barriers for the driver to limit exposure.

Safety Measures taken by Yamhill County Transit Area

We are wiping all frequently touched surfaces on our buses with disinfectant each night.  In addition, frequently touched surfaces at the transit center and on the buses throughout the day are being wiped down with disinfectant.

To help with social distancing on the bus, certain seats are blocked on the bus. YCT has extra buses staged to help with routes where buses are getting full.  When possible, riders may board through the back doors.  This is to provide drivers more space so they can stay healthy.

YCTA Social Distance Seating

Our operators play a vital role in keeping our community moving during this unprecedented time in history. To support their health and safety and yours, and out of abundance of caution, we have decided to stop accepting fares on board buses.

This is a temporary measure to help with social distancing and to minimize the time riders spend near our bus operators.

What YOU Can Do

Wear a face covering when out in public, and now you are required to wear face covering when riding Yamhill County Transit.

YCTA Rider Sitting on Bus

Practice “social distancing” keeping at least six feet between you and other people, including our operators and employees.

YCTA Bus Rides Entering Bus Socially Distanced

Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

YCTA Bus Rider Using Hand Sanitizer

Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.

Cough or sneeze into a tissue, then throw that tissue in the trash. If you do not have a tissue, use your elbow (and not your hands).
