American’s with Disabilities Act (ADA)

Yamhill County Transit is committed to ensuring equitable access to public transportation and complying with all legal requirements of Federal and State laws and regulations as they pertain to individuals with disabilities.

  • All YC Transit buses are accessible and equipped with wheelchair lifts or ramps. Equal access for all is extremely important to YC Transit.
  • YC Transit drivers announce time point bus stops. Priority seating is provided on buses for seniors and people with disabilities.
  • YC Transit drivers are trained to assist customers and to secure mobility devices to ensure a safe ride for all passengers.
  • Service animals are allowed on YC Transit buses.
  • ADA Paratransit services are available to anyone with a disability that prohibits use of regular fixed-route service.

Complaint Process

Title II (American’s with Disabilities Act) and Title VI (Non-Discrimination) are both covered under the Civil Rights Act. If you believe your rights have been violated, please use one of the Civil Rights complaint forms below to file a complaint.
