Yamhill County Transit Advisory Committee (YCTAC)

Yamhill County Transit’s advisory committee serves as an essential bridge between our transit agency and the communities we serve. This committee provides guidance on key issues such as financial strategy, access, service needs and capital projects, ensuring that our decisions reflect the needs and priorities of our riders and community.

By fostering collaboration between YC Transit and community members, transit advocates and riders, this committee helps up shape policies that promote transit use, fairness and sustainability. The YCTAC strengthens our public transit service by making it more responsive to the people who rely on it daily. They ensure YC Transit remains accountable, transparent, and committed to serving Yamhill County.

About YCTAC

The Yamhill County Transit Advisory Committee (YCTAC) serves as the advisory committee to the Board of Directors for Yamhill County Transit.

YCTAC serves two primary functions:

  1. State Transportation Improvement Fund (STIF) Advisory Committee advises the Board of Commissioners in their role as the Qualified Entity for STIF funding. YCTAC recommends priority for plans and projects to be funded with the money received from the Oregon Department of Transportation STIF program.
  2. Yamhill County Transit Advisory Committee (YCTAC) advises the Yamhill County Transit Board of Directors in its goal of enhancing public transportation throughout Yamhill County which is the Yamhill County Transit district boundary.

YCTAC Committee Structure

The committee structure is:

  1. Membership: Eleven members
  2. Officers: Chair is appointed by the Board of Commissioners and Vice-Chair and Secretary elected by members.
  3. Initial Terms: Oct 11, 2018 – June 30, 2018
  4. Terms after June 30, 2018: 3 years staggered all terms expire June 30
  5. Meetings: Fourth Thursday quarterly (Jan/April/Jul/Oct) at 6:30 pm in the Yamhill County Courthouse Room 32 (this may change after the first meeting on July 17th at 3:00 -5:00 pm.
  6. Quorum: For official business 6 voting members. A majority of the filled positions will constitute a quorum if there are vacancies
