YCT is continuously working to find better ways to streamline transit service and improve reliability for passengers. As such, we’re making changes to service on Route 44 and Route 44X (Tigard-Newberg-McMinnville) effective Monday April 15, 2024.
On westbound trips to McMinnville, buses will serve different stop locations in Sherwood and Newberg. This will make the route faster and help buses run on-time. Schedules may be adjusted in the future.
Routes 44 & 44X - Sherwood
At Sherwood Plaza, a new stop will be served on westbound trips to Newberg and McMinnville (TriMet Stop 9188). This stop is 500 feet north of the current stop near Shari’s, on the opposite side of the street. The new stop ID is 784303.
- Eastbound buses to Tigard will continue to serve the existing stop near Shari’s (TriMet stop 12849).
Routes 44 & 44X - Newberg
In downtown Newberg, westbound buses to McMinnville will stop at E Hancock St & N Blaine St. instead of at Nap’s Thriftway. The new stop is 2 blocks east and 1 block north, about 1000 feet away. The new stop ID is 784309.
- There will be no change to eastbound trips towards Tigard, which will continue to stop at Nap’s Thriftway.
